A little more about WDDinc…

WDDinc was founded in 1993 by three partners, Alan Wlasuk, Reed Delporte and John Davis to provide software development expertise to a variety of clients. Our focus has always been custom development of high-quality software for clients with unique needs, ranging from data center infrastructures to multi-national call centers. Our clients span the United States and our software can be found throughout the world.

Our software development teams provide expertise in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, architecture, development, testing, deployment and long-term support. Our internal staff includes project managers, business analysts and software developers. Each client engagement is overseen by one of WDDinc’s partners. Our close connection with graphics design firms across the country and our 50% ownership in iLAB LLC, the North American branch of iLAB International Group (www.ilabquality.com), make each project a fully integrated, seamless effort that ensures timely, cost-effective success every time.

WDDinc overlays every product development effort with our MoSCoW Analysis technique, a methodology that focuses on complete specification creation, feature prioritization and strict adherence to timelines and cost controls. WDDinc projects are consistently completed on schedule because “done” is a focus, not an artifact.

The software development portion of most projects should be approximately 20% of the overall effort. WDDinc understands this and is uniquely qualified to deliver the other 80% that most software companies ignore or forget. Thorough requirements, product sizing and staffing needs are forethought, not an afterthought. This large portion of a project is completed before any development is started. WDDinc engages iLAB LLC in the quality assurance process from the beginning with a review of testability, test-plan creation and continued monitoring. Finally, product deployment and long-term support are planned and included in our scheduling, staffing and costing. A WDDinc project does not include surprises.

A common phrase that we use in every client meeting is “Technology is the easy part.” We say this for two important reasons. First, WDDinc has always hired the best and brightest. We believe if you have the right staff, the development part really is easy. Secondly, we realize the majority of our efforts should be directed towards the client interface, not in technology details.
